Oh my God, her “perfect years”?! Who the hell has those? Maybe when you’re 15 or 16 and everything is ahead of you….but you don’t realize it then because you’re so worried about your skin, your hair, your clothes, the opposite sex, and everything else. And at 41, she’s mourning the loss of her looks and youth? What a shallow, stupid woman. Even if you forget about all the woman who were not fortunate enough to see 41, that’s a stupid attitude. I will be 49 my next birthday, and other than an occasional “how the fuck did that get here so fast?” I’m fine with it. And although my body and face are far from the “perfect” ideal that Ms. Wurtzel has no doubt fallen from, I like what I see (most times) when I look in the mirror. My face has not changed all that much, and I think that the things I’ve learned and lived through add beauty to the inside which is inflicted on the outside. Attitudes like hers really tick me off, but usually when I hear that crap, it’s spoken my much younger people. At least they have the excuse of youth and ignorance!
