My younger daughter (who fits the above description) in first grade had a teacher who would tell me how forceful and strong-willed she was and how she could overshadow the other kids at times. Like I should fix it.
Well, I would say, I think these are qualities we need in our young women, so let’s start encouraging them.
It actually brought her up short.
