Blessed are those who can laugh at themselves
A friend of mine recently blogged about what I felt was a serious case of da ennui of daily life. You know: bills to pay, cat boxes to clean, cars to fix, S.O.s to fight with, S.O.s make amends to, dinner to cook, dishes to clean, laundry to launder, lawns to mow. Lather, rinse, repeat.
As I pondered the bummer of adulthood, my spirit guides - who I am sure I heard shouting “Danger! Danger! Pull up, Will Robinson!” - intercepted the rapidly developing existential snit, and lo, one or two clicks of the mouse and I was listening to My Cubicle, a parody of the James Blunt song “You’re Beautiful.” So, so apropos. Out! Out, damn snit!

Ha! That’s great! You gotta see this one too!
Thank you for reintroducing ennui into my vocabulary. It’s been awhile since I’d seen or used it.
Are we still on to play in traffic?
