I have to agree, Shiny Crow does roll off the tongue nicely. So does uppity shiny crow, for that matter. Hee!

Ahhh, you do speak Truth, Uppity. However, Nattering Magpie rolls pretty well, doesn't it?

Or perhaps ablaze, aglow, alight, argent, auroral, beaming, blazing, brilliant, burning, burnished, coruscating, dazzling, effulgent, flashing, fulgent, fulgid, glaring, gleaming, glistening, glittering, glossy, glowing, golden, illuminated, illumined, incandescent, intense, irradiated, lambent, light, lighted, luminous, lustrous, mirrorlike limpid, moonlit, phosphorescent, polished, radiant, relucent, resplendent, scintillating, shimmering, shiny, silvery, sparkling, sunny, twinkling, vivid magpie?

Jo, what you say is 100% factually correct. Alas, "shiny magpie" just doesn't roll off the tongue quite as well as "shiny crow." Then again, it's better than "shiny monkey."

Mushell, I think YOU gave OCD to ME. Or perhaps it's a gene common to South Dakota natives that remains dormant until one has watched a certain number of Tom & Jerry episodes...

I had to *think* about the
<a target="_blank" href="http://appl003.ocs.lsu.edu/paws005.nsf/$ImageFiles/dbecker/$FILE/sleestack.GIF" rel="nofollow">Sleestack</a>head. Maybe that's what I am...the sole decendant of the lost tribe?

It is not the crow, but the crow's cousin the magpie that collects shiny objects for the nest. It may be that Uppity has more similarity to the magpie than the collection of bright shiny objects.......Kevin will know.

Crows, magpies, ravens, and jays are all of the same family, Corvidae, and are fascinating birds to study and even to get to know as individuals.

Know what? I wish I HAD all the X-Files sets...I only have the first season. Fox Mulder is so hot that I even forgive his Playboy habit.

So, did you give me OCD by osmosis in Junior High?
