As much as I hate the idea of maiming rapists (can't say that with a straight face), I do wonder.. if a woman is supposed to wear a Rapex condom to prevent rape, and not knowing when that would happen - wouldn't they need to wear one all the time? Wouldn't that be a little costly? Especially for the women of South Africa. That aside, the effects of constant latex in the vagina is bound to cause some serious infections. I like the concept but to me, it hasn't been thoroughly thought out.

U: The hits have no pattern of region; they are from all over the globe. However, it's interesting that most of them are searching for images, not text. Curiouser and curiouser. Enjoyed your posts you linked; fyi, I've haven't been a heels woman since my first few attempts, either. :)

VERY interesting. Love the title, lol.

It seems (from looking at the RapeX site, bare of any advertisers) that the concerns you shared last April must be shared by most. It would be interesting to read research on how much of a deterrent this is (if it is). I had some of the same concerns you did. RapeX seems like more of a bad idea than a good idea.

I have no idea why you're suddenly getting hits. Can you tell what region they're coming from?

Something similar happened with my post on heels (shoes): http://stillunhinged.blogspot.com/2007/03/firsts-heels.html. I could tell the hits came mostly from Germany and via an email referrer--as if someone had sent my post to a subscriber's list.

I also got frankenspammed on my post about who Brad Lenz is: http://stillunhinged.blogspot.com/2006/10/pain-in-butt-advertising.html and I STILL get hits on this today.
